Grady Hearn is a Connecticut-based filmmaker, visual storyteller, and creative professional whose work moves fluidly between cinematography, video production, photography, editing, and music. Based in the New Haven area, Hearn has worked across a range of projects, bringing a hands-on approach to both the technical and artistic sides of production. His film credits include work as director of photography on Pusherman: Frank Lucas & The True Story of American Gangster, as well as cinematography, production, editing, and composing credits on other projects.
Music is another central part of Hearn’s creative life. He is a guitarist and vocalist for Dagwood, the New Haven band whose blend of power pop, punk, and alternative rock has developed over more than a decade. Hearn’s work with Dagwood — alongside his filmmaking and visual-art projects — reflects a broader creative practice built around collaboration, experimentation, and storytelling across different mediums.
